“You may be wondering why we didn’t include DHA in Mama Bird prenatal multivitamins. And I have two very good reasons for that.
For one, it’s impossible to put the necessary amount of DHA into a prenatal vitamin without it becoming bulky. Some prenatal multis may include DHA, but not close to the recommended amounts.
And two, it was extremely important for me to use triglycerides from real fish. Real fish oil can not be squeezed into a tablet. And when you do see DHA in one, it is in ethyl ester form. When ethyl ester is absorbed in the body, it becomes an alcohol derivative–something moms-to-be should stay clear of.
So, we developed a separate DHA. It comes in two small softgels that can be easily swallowed. And it delivers the recommended amount and much-needed benefits for mom and baby.”
